About

A bond that was interrupted, never actually broken.

Unbrek didn't start with a business plan. It started with a friendship that refused to stay broken — and that turned out to be a decent description of how we'd want to work with clients too.

The story

Devashish and Unmesh met as toddlers, long before either of them had any say in who their friends were. Life pulled them apart after Class 1 — different schools, different paths, and no memory of each other kept alive on either side.

Years later they crossed paths again in high school, as strangers. They got along instantly, and only worked out why some time after: this wasn't a new friendship. It was an old one finding its way back.

That reunion is where the name comes from. Unbrek — a bond that was interrupted, but never actually broken.

That's the origin. What matters more is what it means for the people we work with: we would rather grow with a client over years than disappear after a single invoice.

Why it exists

Devashish spent over a decade in high-stakes enterprise software and database engineering — the kind of precision-and-accountability work most small businesses never get access to. Unbrek exists to bring that same caliber of engineering to businesses that have been priced out of it, without the bureaucracy, the black boxes, or the enterprise price tag.

We think most businesses don't need more complexity from their technology partners. They need less. Fewer black boxes. Fewer surprises on the invoice. Fewer months of waiting for something that should have taken weeks.

What we actually value

Trust

We say what we mean, deliver what we promised, and don't hide behind technical jargon to avoid an honest conversation.

Simplicity

Every solution gets judged not only on what it can do, but on how easily a non-technical person can actually use it. That includes making AI approachable rather than intimidating.

Ease of business

One point of contact, not a faceless team. Fast turnaround. Explanations that make sense even if you have never written a line of code.

Speed

We move fast without cutting corners. Clients shouldn't wait months for basic progress.

Affordability

Good technology work shouldn't be reserved for the companies with the biggest budgets.

Partnership over projects

Success for us looks like clients who never have to look elsewhere.

How we work

01

A global team, run remotely

Unbrek isn't tied to one office or one city. We work with clients wherever they are.

02

One point of contact

You deal with a founder, not a rotating cast of account managers.

03

Fast turnaround

Delays cost you money and momentum. We treat them that way.

04

No jargon

If you can't understand our explanation, we haven't done our job properly yet.

The founders

The people you're actually working with.

Devashish Das

Devashish Das

Engineering, product & delivery

Devashish lives on the other side of "get it done" — the part where someone has to actually build the thing, correctly, under pressure, without cutting corners nobody notices until they matter. Over a decade in enterprise software and database engineering taught him what that costs: high-stakes, high-precision work where getting it right the first time wasn't optional, and neither was explaining it clearly to people without a technical background. That standard now shows up in every project Unbrek takes on, aimed at businesses that normally couldn't access engineering of this caliber. He's hands-on with every engagement, start to finish — the person in the pitch is the person building it. He has a genuine knack for finding the simple solution inside a complicated problem, useful when football season and a client deadline land the same week. When he isn't building, he's usually playing or watching football, exploring, travelling — occasionally managing all in one weekend.

Unmesh Choudhari

Operations, delivery & client partnerships

He lives in the space between "this is a great idea" and "okay, how do we actually make this work." His job is understanding the ask behind the ask — cutting through the jargon until "we need AI" turns into a real problem worth solving, a practical plan, and a path to actually getting it done. Devashish builds the thing; Unmesh makes sure it's worth building in the first place, that it actually gets built on schedule, and that it still works the following Tuesday morning, not just on demo day. He has a genuine pull toward systems that can be optimized and problems that can be untangled — Formula 1's engineering is a long-running obsession — which also means his spreadsheets rarely stay simple for long, and grow a few extra tabs nobody asked for. When he isn't working, he is usually planning the next group trip in more detail than anyone actually requested.

The standard is set by the people actually doing the work. Devashish is hands-on with every build, and Unmesh is hands-on with every client relationship — what you see in the pitch is what you get in delivery.
